The gap
Written mysteries are solved once and then lose their point, and random ones often have no fair answer.
What it is
This template generates a new case each time and keeps it only if a checker proves exactly one guest fits and the case can be cracked within its questions.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
For every guest the checker asks: if this one were lying and everyone else told the truth, would the answers still agree? Only the culprit survives.
Before a case is used, a careful detective plays it with the same question budget; a case it cannot crack is thrown away.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
