What is inside

First strokes

Straight and slanted sticks, hooks, loops, waves and ovals on cursive ruling: an example in ink, rows of dotted shapes to trace and space to carry on alone. They are the parts the letters are built from.

A page for every letter

The letter large in print and cursive with a picture and its word, print rows to trace, cursive capitals and small letters, two short words to write joined up, syllables to read and write, and a game to find the letter among similar ones.

The print letters your school uses

Choose the Bulgarian Cyrillic forms or the traditional forms for the print letters. The cursive is the same in both and follows Bulgarian school cursive, with the small т written like an m.

Alphabet, quiz and certificate

A chart of all 30 letters in print and cursive with their pictures, a quiz with missing letters and first sounds, and a certificate to sign when the book is done.

Questions

A printable A4 workbook for the Bulgarian alphabet in print and cursive, for children of about 5 to 7, in four PDF editions.

A PDF reader and a printer with A4 paper. Print at actual size (100 percent).

No stroke-order arrows, no US Letter size and no editable source pages. The cursive comes from a typeface, so a few capital letters may differ slightly from a given textbook. Printing on paper was not tested.

The pages are HTML and SVG generated by code and printed to PDF; the pictures are drawn in code; the fonts are Sofia Sans and Bad Script under the SIL Open Font License. Created with AI assistance; the letters, words, page count, A4 size, embedded fonts and text layer were checked by PN Scripts with automated tests, and every page type was reviewed as a rendered image.
