The gap
Random sort puzzles can be unsolvable, and players notice.
What it is
Every shelf is solved before it is shown, and the solution also sets par and drives hints for the bot.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
The solver skips finished jars, tries only one empty jar per move, never moves a uniform jar into an empty one and remembers positions by their sorted jar strings, so even ten flavours solve in milliseconds.
The first solution is shortened by removing moves whose removal still leaves a valid solution, and its length becomes par: honest, checkable and never below what is possible.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
