The gap
Hidden-object games usually need hand-painted scenes and hand-placed objects, which makes every new level expensive.

The gap
Hidden-object games usually need hand-painted scenes and hand-placed objects, which makes every new level expensive.
What it is
This template composes rooms from code: add a drawing function or a seed and you get a new, checked scene with no art files.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
Each thing is one def() call with a name, a riddle, its rooms, a hit ellipse and a drawing function in a 100-unit box.
buildScene() places targets, clutter and props on shelves and piles, then moves any target that is too hidden.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
