What it solves

The gap

Water puzzles need a water model that is cheap enough for phones and still behaves, and levels that are proven playable. Building that, plus the game around it, takes weeks before the first island is fun.

What it is

A finished, tested weather puzzle with a mass-conserving run-off model, an island generator proven by an autopilot, and its look, water rules and difficulty in one config file.

How you use it

Unzip, run npm ci and npm run dev, then edit src/game.config.ts; npm test rebuilds and re-proves every island.

Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with the water model and level proof built in.

What you get

One config file

Title, logo, save key, colours, the water and weather rules, island names and the difficulty curve: fields, villages, roughness, wind and how much each field must soak.

A water model you can trust

Rain lands under the cloud, runs to lower neighbours by water surface, drains to the sea, soaks into fields and dries in the sun. A test checks that every drop is accounted for.

Islands with a proof

Villages are placed where run-off gathers. An autopilot must water every field without a flood, the rain budget is set from its thrift, and parking the cloud over the middle must fail.

Tests and a guide

33 unit tests and Playwright browser runs, a size budget, an upload zip for itch.io or any static host, and a guide with ideas such as snow clouds, dams and more clouds.

Make and sell any number of your own games from it, and build games for clients. You may not resell or share the source code itself (PN Scripts Template Licence 1.0).

Node.js 22.12 or newer and some TypeScript. Google Chrome runs the browser tests.

No ad or portal SDK, and English only. It is tested in desktop Chrome and Chrome's Pixel 7 emulation, not yet on iOS Safari, Firefox or a real phone.

The code was written with AI assistance and checked by PN Scripts with automated tests. All visuals and sounds are generated by code; there are no AI-generated image or audio files.
