The gap
A retro game usually needs more than one place, and textures from different sources rarely share a light direction, a texel density or a palette logic.
Game assets
Three retro texture packs with their own palettes and motifs, made to work together: an ember-lit castle, a sodium-lit plant and a heather-and-thatch village. 231 seamless low-res textures for $12.99 instead of $14.97.
Sold on itch.io. PN Scripts does not take payment for it here.
The gap
A retro game usually needs more than one place, and textures from different sources rarely share a light direction, a texel density or a palette logic.
What it is
Three themed packs drawn with the same light and texel density, each with its own palette, so a castle, an industrial plant and a village can sit in one game.
How you use it
Buy the bundle once on itch.io or Gumroad and download all three packs.
Three separate art directions that work together, for less than buying the packs one by one.
Use it when
Built for
Plum slate and ash-blue stone lit by banked fires: ember light in the mortar, carved rune bands, blackened oak, verdigris bronze, stained glass and animated coals.
A night-shift refinery: teal and amber panels, oxblood blast doors, tread plate and grates, hazard stripes in amber and teal, copper pipes, concrete and terminals.
A moorland village in late autumn: moor grass with heather, rock with lichen, bark, reed thatch, limewashed timber framing and animated pond, stream and marsh water.
One light direction and one texel density, about 64 px per metre, across the three packs, each with its own 16-colour-per-texture palette.
