The gap
A retro game usually needs more than one place, and textures from different sources rarely share a light direction, a texel density or a palette logic.
Game assets
Three far-off places in one family: a half-buried desert caravanserai, a polar research station under the aurora and a rain-soaked neon night market. 218 seamless low-res textures for $12.99 instead of $14.97.
Sold on itch.io. PN Scripts does not take payment for it here.
The gap
A retro game usually needs more than one place, and textures from different sources rarely share a light direction, a texel density or a palette logic.
What it is
Three themed packs drawn with the same light and texel density, each with its own palette, so a desert ruin, a polar station and a night market can sit in one game.
How you use it
Buy the bundle once on itch.io and download all three packs.
Three separate art directions that work together, for less than buying the packs one by one.
Use it when
Built for
A half-buried caravanserai at noon: rose adobe and bleached limestone, rosette mosaics, woven rugs, carved screens, pierced brass lanterns and drifting sand.
A research station in the polar night: vermilion cladding furred with rime, glacier ice with bubbles and fracture planes, sastrugi, lab interiors and aurora, radar and beacon loops.
A night market in the rain: wet asphalt with neon streaking down the puddles, neon signs in an invented script, blue tarps, paper lanterns, shutters and crates.
One light direction and one texel density, about 64 px per metre, in the three packs and the other PN Retro Textures packs, each with its own 16-colour-per-texture palette.
