WooCommerce Cart block with the message Spend 10,00 euro more for free shipping and a progress bar at 80 percent

What it solves

The gap

Customers leave carts a few euros short of free shipping because nobody tells them, and bars that use a hand-typed amount drift away from the real shipping settings.

What it is

Shipnudge reads the real Free Shipping rule of the customer's zone and shows exactly how much more is needed, wherever the cart appears.

How you use it

One amount to maintain, in WooCommerce's own shipping settings, and a bar that agrees with the checkout every time.

For WooCommerce shops that offer free shipping above an amount and want the cart to say so accurately in every zone.

Who it is for

Use it when

  • A shop with free delivery above 50 euro in Bulgaria and a different limit abroad
  • Raising the average order value with a visible nudge in the mini-cart
  • Stores moving from classic templates to the Cart and Checkout blocks

Built for

  • WooCommerce store owners
  • Agencies and developers building WooCommerce shops

What is inside

Where the amount comes from

Shipnudge finds the shipping zone for the customer's address and reads its enabled Free Shipping methods. If there are several, it shows the one closest to being unlocked. If there are none, it can use a manual amount or hide the bar. When the customer changes the country at checkout, the zone and the amount change with it.

The same rules as the checkout

The amount compared with the minimum is computed like WooCommerce does it: the displayed subtotal, minus discounts unless the method ignores them, minus the discount tax when prices are shown with tax, rounded to your price decimals. Coupons with free shipping, and methods that need a coupon, either or both, are handled. A test compared the bar with WooCommerce in 674 scenarios without a mismatch.

Every place the cart appears

The bar sits in the classic cart, mini-cart widget and checkout, refreshed by WooCommerce fragments, and in the Cart, Checkout and Mini-Cart blocks, refreshed after each change of quantity, coupon or address. The shortcode and the block put it on any other page.

Accessible and translatable

The message is a polite live region, so screen readers announce changes, and the bar is a progressbar with a readable value text. Motion is reduced on request and the bar stays visible in high-contrast mode. English and Bulgarian are included, and the messages can be rewritten in the settings with placeholders for the amounts.

Questions

A WooCommerce plugin that shows how much more a customer needs to spend for free shipping, with a progress bar, using the Free Shipping method of the customer's shipping zone.

WordPress 6.4, WooCommerce 8.0 and PHP 8.0 or newer, and a Free Shipping method with a minimum amount (or a manual amount). It was tested on WordPress 7.1.3 with WooCommerce 11.2.1.

Currency conversion for multi-currency plugins, per-product shipping class rules and statistics. MySQL, multisite and themes other than Twenty Twenty-Five were not part of the tests.

The calculation is a small set of plain PHP classes written after WooCommerce's Free Shipping method, with their own tests, and the WooCommerce part connects them to the cart. Created with AI assistance; the calculation was checked by PN Scripts with 27 PHPUnit tests and against WooCommerce's own free shipping decision in 674 cart scenarios, and the release ZIP on WordPress 7.1.3 with WooCommerce 11.2.1 through real pages, live block-cart updates and screenshots.
