The gap
Generated platform levels often trap the player or make enemies impossible to avoid.
What it is
This template keeps a gap in every ledge row, places crates away from ledge ends and lets the player shoot through crates, so every level can be finished.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
On a ledge the button jumps; in the air it fires down and sets the fall speed to a small upward push, which is what makes hovering and aiming possible.
Each run has its own seed: ledges, crates, veins and enemies change, the enemy pool grows by well, and the upgrade choices come from the same seed.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
