Filament has no bulk edit. Changing a status, a price or a tag on fifty records means opening fifty edit pages or writing a custom bulk action for every field, usually without validation, policy checks or a way back.

What is inside

How it works

Add BulkEditAction to a table and list the fields people may change, using ordinary Filament form fields. In the panel, people select rows, open Edit selected, tick fields, pick an operation for each, look at the review and apply. The current values of the selected records are shown under each field.

Safe by design

Every record is validated with the field's own rules and authorized with your update policy before it is saved through Eloquent. Records that already hold the new values are not saved again. An optional all-or-nothing mode rolls back the whole run when one record fails.

History and undo

Runs are recorded with the user, the time, the table, a summary per field and the values before and after for each changed record. Undo restores those values, skips records changed again since and checks the policy again. A prune command removes old runs.

Requirements and limits

PHP 8.3 or newer, Laravel 12 or 13, Filament 4.13 or newer or 5.8 or newer. Tested on SQLite and MySQL 8.0. File uploads, rich text and repeaters were not tested and are best edited on the record's own page. Queued runs need a queue worker.
