The Otvoreno module in a Joomla sidebar: Open now, closes at 18:00, and the week with Thursday marked

What it solves

The gap

Opening hours on Joomla sites are usually a typed table that says nothing about today, forgets holidays and the days off they move to, and gives search engines no hours, so customers arrive at closed doors.

What it is

Otvoreno turns the hours of each day, a holiday rule and special dates into an open now line, the week, coming changes and schema.org data, all from one module with the Bulgarian calendar built in.

How you use it

Customers and search engines see the right hours today, on holidays and on the days off in between.

Opening hours for Joomla sites of Bulgarian shops, offices and restaurants, with the national calendar already worked out.

Who it is for

Use it when

  • A bakery in Sofia that closes on holidays and wants the moved day off after Christmas shown on its site
  • A dental practice with a lunch break whose Joomla site should tell patients when it opens next
  • A bar open until 02:00 that wants Google to see its hours, including New Year's Eve

Built for

  • Bulgarian shops, offices, restaurants and practices with a Joomla site
  • Web studios that build Joomla sites for local businesses

What is inside

Open now, in one line

The module says Open now with the closing time, or Closed with the next opening: today, tomorrow or on a named day. It counts in the business's time zone, follows lunch breaks and hours past midnight, and joins ranges that run into each other across midnight.

The Bulgarian calendar, worked out

Official holidays, Orthodox Easter and the days off moved from holidays that fall on a Saturday or Sunday are built in for every year. Choose closed, holiday hours or normal hours for them, and whether the moved days off count too.

Your own dates

Add special dates for an inventory, a short day or a holiday you work, with a note. They win over the week and the holidays, and the coming changes list shows everything in the next 30 days that changes your hours.

For search engines too

With the business name and address filled in, the page head gets schema.org LocalBusiness JSON-LD of the chosen type, with the weekly opening hours and the holiday and special hours of the next 60 days.
