The gap
Dispatch games get fiddly when the player must handle every rider by hand.
What it is
This template lets riders press their own buttons and leaves the player one clear decision, which car answers which call, under rush hours and surprises.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
Each car keeps a set of floors and keeps moving in its direction while stops remain ahead, like a real lift; riders and the player both add stops to the same set.
A day is a number of cars, an arrival rate and switches for breakdowns and VIP guests; the hour of the day decides where arrivals come from and where they go.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
