The gap
Deciding which side of a closed track to claim is the hard part of a territory-capture game.
What it is
This template floods the grass from every enemy and claims whatever they cannot reach, which works for any number of regions.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
When the track closes it becomes lawn, then a stack-based flood fill marks the grass connected to each bee; every unmarked grass cell is mown and repainted in the offscreen meadow.
The mower steps one 8-pixel cell every three ticks, which keeps tracks clean and makes crossing checks exact, while bees and moles move in pixels and test the cells they would enter.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
