What it solves

The gap

Static sites are fast and cheap but cannot send a contact form by themselves. Form services cost money every month and send visitors' data abroad, and copied PHP mail scripts land in spam, break on Cyrillic, let spammers in and lose messages when the mail server hiccups.

What it is

Pismonosha is one small folder on the same hosting: it checks the fields, sends a clean e-mail through your own mailbox, keeps spam out without a puzzle, saves messages it cannot send yet, and talks to visitors in their language.

What is inside

One folder, your mailbox

Upload the folder, copy the sample configuration and fill in the mailbox details. Messages leave through your own SMTP server from an address on your domain, so they pass SPF and DMARC and land in the inbox, and replying goes straight to the visitor.

Checked fields, safe files

Each field has rules and a label in two languages; attachments have a size limit and allowed types, and a file whose content does not match its extension is refused. Header values are cleaned, so nothing typed into the form can add recipients.

Spam out, messages kept

A honeypot, a signed time trap, an hourly limit per visitor counted by a salted hash, a link limit and allowed origins stop bots without a puzzle; Turnstile or hCaptcha can be added. When the mail server fails, the message waits in an outbox until the retry command sends it.

Kind to visitors

With pismonosha.js the form sends in the background, shows each problem next to its field in Bulgarian or English and moves the focus to the first one. Without JavaScript the same endpoint shows a plain page with the problems or goes to your thank-you page.

A form-to-e-mail endpoint in plain PHP for static websites on shared hosting, with field validation, attachments, spam protection, an outbox for failed sends, a small script for sending without leaving the page, and a command line helper.

PHP 8.1 or newer with fileinfo and mbstring and an SMTP mailbox on your domain, or a working PHP mail(). It was tested with PHP 8.4 and Chrome 155 against local mail servers, including STARTTLS and SSL with a certificate check.
