The gap
A sky quiz needs correct star positions, a projection that keeps the familiar shapes and views that frame each figure well on any screen.
What it is
This template gives you a small sky engine with fitting and panning, a data format for figures and facts and a polished quiz around it.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
Each constellation lists stars as name, RA in hours, Dec in degrees and magnitude, plus line pairs and one fact; add more the same way.
project() maps a unit vector to the screen stereographically around the view centre; fitView() picks a scale that frames a figure.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
