The gap
Placing dominoes one by one is slow and fiddly, especially on a phone.
What it is
This template lays dominoes along a drawn line and keeps the toppling rule simple and readable, so long chains take seconds to build and always behave the same.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
As the pointer moves, a new domino is laid every 15 pixels; each one is turned halfway between the way in and the way out, so curves fall smoothly.
A falling domino's tip sweeps a short segment; any standing domino close to that segment falls too, in the direction that agrees with the push. Branches and loops come for free.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
