The gap
Shooting games feel cheap when the ball snaps into the hoop, and AI opponents are hard to tune without a way to predict the shot.
Game templates
The complete source of Hoopwick, a basketball shooting game with rim and backboard physics, eight courts with moving hoops and wind, money balls, a fire streak and call-your-shot duels. A headless smoke test proves keyboard and touch input and lets the built-in bot play the whole rack tour.

The gap
Shooting games feel cheap when the ball snaps into the hoop, and AI opponents are hard to tune without a way to predict the shot.
What it is
This template gives one physics step shared by play and prediction, so the AI aims with the same rules the player faces and its skill is a single noise value.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
The rim is two collision points, the board a thin wall, and a basket counts only when the ball falls through the rim plane between them.
The solver tries powers at a few angles and keeps the widest window that meets the call; racks and duels are small state machines on top.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
