The cover, May and September 2027 of a Bulgarian wall calendar with holidays, moved days off and an event

What it solves

The gap

Printable calendars rarely know the Bulgarian holidays, Orthodox Easter and the days off that move from the weekend, so every year someone corrects them by hand, and ready-made planners come for one year and one size only.

What it is

Kalendarche computes the Bulgarian holidays and moved days off for any year and makes clean wall calendars, year pages and planners from them, in the size, language and colours you need, with your own dates added.

How you use it

Correct Bulgarian calendars and planners for any year, made in seconds and ready to print.

A calendar maker for Bulgarian offices, schools, print shops and planner lovers, and for developers who need correct Bulgarian holidays in their own tools.

Who it is for

Use it when

  • An office printing next year's wall calendar with the correct days off
  • A print shop making A3 calendars and A5 planners for its customers
  • A teacher with a linked weekly planner on a tablet, school dates included

Built for

  • Offices, schools, print shops and people who plan on paper or tablets
  • Developers who need Bulgarian holidays and working days in their tools

What is inside

Holidays that are right every year

Every official holiday of the Labour Code, Orthodox Easter computed for the year, and the days off that move from Saturday and Sunday, two at Christmas. 2027 has Easter on 2 May, so 1 May is also Holy Saturday and its day off moves to Tuesday 4 May; Kalendarche marks it.

Five kinds of calendar

A wall calendar with a cover and a page per month, the year on one page with the list of holidays, a monthly planner with writing lines, goals and working days, a weekly planner with a page per week, and a linked planner that puts all of them in one PDF for tablets.

Your size, language and colours

Bulgarian or English, A5, A4, A3 or Letter, portrait or landscape, teal, rose, forest or ink for black and white printers, weeks from Monday with ISO week numbers or from Sunday. Your birthdays, school dates and declared days off come from a short text file.

For scripts and services too

The holidays come as text, JSON with working days per month, or an iCalendar file for phones. In Python, a few lines build any calendar or give the working days of a month, so your own tools can use correct Bulgarian dates.

Questions

A Python package and command line that makes dated calendars and planners as print-ready PDF for any year, with Bulgarian holidays, Orthodox Easter and moved days off marked: wall calendar, year page, monthly and weekly planners and a linked planner for tablets, plus holiday lists as text, JSON or iCalendar.

Python 3.11 or newer on Windows, macOS or Linux; the fpdf2 library is installed with it. It was tested with Python 3.12 and fpdf2 2.8.9 on Linux. Any printer or PDF reader then works.

Name days, moon phases, school holidays, photos on the wall calendar and a graphical interface. Days the government declares after this version must be added to your events file. The PDFs were checked on screen, not printed, and the linked planner was not opened in GoodNotes or Notability.

Made by PN Scripts, a Sofia studio that builds games and tools, in Python with fpdf2 and the Sofia Sans font (SIL Open Font License). The holiday rules follow art. 154 of the Labour Code. Created with AI assistance; the code was written for this package and checked by PN Scripts with 12 automated tests, a look at every kind of page and a buyer install in a fresh environment.
