The gap
Freelancers and small studios are paid late and unevenly, so a good month on paper can still end with an empty account, and a bank balance says nothing about the quiet quarter ahead.

The gap
Freelancers and small studios are paid late and unevenly, so a good month on paper can still end with an empty account, and a bank balance says nothing about the quiet quarter ahead.
What it is
One workbook models retainers with payment delays, a weighted pipeline and costs by category over 24 months, in four scenarios at once, and shows runway, the lowest point and the first month below your buffer.
How you use it
Know months in advance when cash gets tight and what a lost client, a slow payer or a new hire would do to it.
For freelancers and studios with a few people who want to see their next two years of cash without accounting software or a finance hire.
Use it when
Built for
Retainers have a first and last month and a payment delay, so a client on 30-day terms lands a month later. Pipeline projects count at their probability in the month they are paid, and signed work counts in full.
Up to 150 cost lines in seven categories, monthly, quarterly, yearly or once, with a first and last payment. Mark rent or loan payments as fixed and scenario cost changes leave them alone. Owner pay and a tax set-aside are separate lines.
Base, Best, Worst and Custom each change income, pipeline wins, payment delays, costs and your pay, and can add a one-off bill or a new monthly cost. All four are calculated together and compared in one table and one chart.
The dashboard shows cash today, runway, the lowest balance and its month, the month cash runs out and the first month below your buffer, plus totals and two charts. The Actuals sheet tracks reality against the plan.
