The gap
Spot-the-difference games usually need hundreds of hand-made picture pairs, which makes new levels slow and expensive.

The gap
Spot-the-difference games usually need hundreds of hand-made picture pairs, which makes new levels slow and expensive.
What it is
This template builds every pair from parts and a seed, so new themes and levels are a few lines of data instead of artwork.
How you use it
Unzip, serve the folder and open index.html, then edit game.js; npm test plays it again in headless Chrome.
Source code of a real, playable game to reskin and learn from, with a smoke test whose bot plays it.
Use it when
Built for
Add a part as one draw function in unit space with a radius and a colour list; mark it asymmetric to allow mirroring.
A theme is a background function plus zones that say which parts stand on which lines or float in which areas.
Plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D; open index.html through any static server and edit game.js.
A headless Chrome test loads the game, checks the console, presses keys and taps, and lets the built-in bot play a run to its result screen.
