The gap
A long reply, support ticket or application typed into a web form disappears when the tab closes, the browser crashes or the session expires, and Firefox does not bring it back.
Developer tools
A Firefox extension that keeps what you type in web forms and gives it back with one click, checks the text itself for card numbers, IBANs and keys, and shows for every field why it was kept or refused.

The Lite edition is free and complete for what it does; the full edition adds more.
The gap
A long reply, support ticket or application typed into a web form disappears when the tab closes, the browser crashes or the session expires, and Firefox does not bring it back.
What it is
Zapazka keeps the text as you type, in your own browser, offers it back the moment you return to the empty field, and proves what it refused instead of asking you to trust it.
How you use it
Never type the same long text twice.
A one-time, local form saver for Firefox users who write in web pages and want to see, not assume, that nothing sensitive is kept: forums, webmail, ticket systems, CMS editors and job applications.
Use it when
Built for
Text areas, rich editors such as webmail and forum editors, and one-line fields from 20 characters are kept half a second after you stop typing, and when you leave the field or the page. Only in your Firefox profile.
Come back to the empty field and a small chip offers the text with its length and age; Restore puts it in and the page sees it as typed. From the toolbar popup, Put back fills any field on the page with any kept version.
Password fields, card and security code fields, one-time codes and fields named for tokens, PINs or secrets are skipped, as are hidden, disabled and read-only fields and private windows. Zapazka also checks the typed text: a valid card number, an IBAN, a private key, an API token or "password: ..." inside a harmless-looking message is refused, and digits kept before the number was complete are removed. The popup shows each field as kept or refused with the reason, and the ledger on the options page lists every refusal with field name, reason and time, never the text. Add your own never-keep words, exclude sites or pause saving.
Choose how many days texts are kept, from how many characters one-line fields are kept and how many versions each field has. Search every kept text, export them as JSON or delete them all.
