What it solves

The gap

A WordPress theme shows the same sidebar on every page, so a chair and a lamp, or the cart and a blog post, get the same widgets.

What it is

PN Scripts Sidewend lets a widget area replace a theme sidebar on the products, categories, tags and pages you choose, and picks the most specific area when several fit.

How you use it

Create a widget area, choose the sidebar it replaces and where, add widgets, done.

Conditional widget areas for WooCommerce and WordPress pages. It changes which widgets show, not the theme's layout.

Who it is for

Use it when

  • Size charts, care instructions or delivery notes next to the products they belong to.
  • Moving widget areas over from WooSidebars.

Built for

  • WooCommerce merchants who want different sidebars on different products and pages.
  • Agencies and developers who run WooCommerce shops for clients.

What it does

The right widgets on the right page

A widget area replaces a sidebar of your theme on the pages you choose: shop pages, products in chosen categories or with chosen tags, single products, the cart, checkout and account pages, or site pages.

The most specific one wins

When several areas fit a page, a single product comes before its category and a category before all products. Equal ones: the newest wins.

Classic and block themes

Classic themes keep their own sidebar markup and only the widgets change. In block themes, the Product Sidebar block or a shortcode shows the area.

Import from WooSidebars

One click copies every WooSidebars widget area with its conditions and widgets. A dry run shows the result first, the import can be undone, and WooSidebars data is only read.
