The gap
Unreal projects collect assets named Material_3, chair, NewBlueprint and Texture with spaces, scattered in the root, which slows everyone down and breaks naming-based tools, and renaming them by hand risks broken references.

The gap
Unreal projects collect assets named Material_3, chair, NewBlueprint and Texture with spaces, scattered in the root, which slows everyone down and breaks naming-based tools, and renaming them by hand risks broken references.
What it is
Imenka checks every asset against the team's conventions in seconds, shows what is wrong and the right name, and renames whole folders safely through the editor's own Asset Tools, also as a check on the build server.
How you use it
A Content Browser where every name tells you what the asset is, kept that way automatically.
A small, configurable naming linter and fixer for Unreal Engine teams and solo developers who want a clean Content Browser.
Use it when
Built for
Prefixes for 54 asset classes, from SM_ and T_ to WBP_, ABP_, BPI_ and NS_, with Blueprint interfaces and libraries told apart, plus spaces, odd characters, Pascal case, double underscores, path length, assets in the root and folder names.
The Output Log lists every problem and an HTML report opens in the browser with the counts, the problems and a suggested name for each asset; CSV and JSON copies are saved for spreadsheets and build tools.
Rename a folder or a selection to the suggested names after one preview. The editor's Asset Tools do the renaming, so references follow, then the redirectors are fixed up and the folders saved. Clashing names get a number.
Change any prefix, add your own classes, turn checks off and set the folders to check in Config/Imenka.json, committed with the project. A script for UnrealEditor-Cmd fails a build server run on naming errors.
